After the game Nunn explained that following 20 Ba3 Ndf5 21 Bxe7 Nxe7 22 Nd6+ Kf8 23 Qf4 f6 24 Rad1 (threatening Qc4) 24...Qc7 (24...Bd7 25 Qe4 Qd8 26 Nxb7 Qe8 27 Nd6 Qd8 28 Nf5 Nxf5 29 Rxd7 wins for White ) 25 Qe4 (threatening Qd5!) 25...Bg4 he had seen nothing clear for White. "Of course, Fritz found 26 h3! Bxd1 27 Qe6 and mate on e8 in a flash" (27…Ng6 28 Qe8+!).
